\u200d<\/em>Squeamish<\/em><\/strong>
\nDo you feel sick when you see or smell things that are disgusting and not nice? Then we can say that you are squeamish, like our character Bob. Check out more sentences:<\/em><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t invite Sandra because I know she gets <\/em>squeamish<\/em><\/strong> with the smell of seafood.
\nYou shouldn\u2019t watch that movie, you\u2019re too <\/em>squeamish<\/em><\/strong> to enjoy it.
\nGary doesn\u2019t watch violent movies, he gets <\/em>squeamish<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u200d<\/em>Still
\n\u200d<\/em><\/strong>As we saw in the dialogue, we can use \u201cstill\u201d to express the idea of \u201cainda assim\u201d or \u201cmesmo assim\u201d. In these cases, it usually comes after the words \u201cbut\u201d or \u201cand\u201d, and sometimes just by itself. Let\u2019s take a look at how it works:<\/em><\/p>\n

Jean is very mature, <\/em>but still<\/em><\/strong>, I don\u2019t think she should go to the festival alone.
\nWe have an amazing babysitter and <\/em>still<\/em><\/strong>, my wife gets extremely worried.
\nI paid for the food <\/em>but still<\/em><\/strong>, I feel like I should do more.
\nHillary told Jerry that the product is ready, and <\/em>still<\/em><\/strong> he hasn\u2019t stopped making changes to it.<\/em><\/p>\n

We use it by itself as a reply in the middle of a conversation:<\/em><\/p>\n

Relax, I called them and they said they will do the calculations for us.<\/em>
\nStill.<\/em><\/strong> I have a feeling that the plan is not going to work.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u200d<\/em>Heart-warming<\/em><\/strong>
\nThere are numerous compound adjectives that you can use to describe the feelings provoked by watching a movie or a series, or by reading a book, so let\u2019s take a look at some complimentary vocabulary for when you want to talk about that!<\/em>\u200d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Heart-warming<\/em><\/strong> – tocante\/emocionante<\/em>
\nSpine-chilling<\/em><\/strong> – arrepiante\/apavorante<\/em>
\nHeart-stopping<\/em><\/strong> – emocionante\/eletrizante<\/em>
\nGut-wrenching<\/em><\/strong> – angustiante<\/em>
\nEye-opening <\/em><\/strong>– revelador<\/em>
\nTear-jerking<\/em><\/strong> – emocionante\/comovente<\/em>\u200d<\/p>\n
