Pois \u00e9, e essa semana descobrimos que a realeza n\u00e3o deixa de comparecer a eventos e celebra\u00e7\u00f5es nem mesmo anos depois de morta.<\/p>\n

\u200dKept for 187 years in a glass and drowned in formalin, the heart of Pedro I from Brazil, the first emperor of the country and responsible for its independence, usually is well locked in a church in Porto, a city in Portugal. The remains of his body, however, have been kept in Brazil since 1972, in the independence monument crypt, at the Ipiranga Museum, where it is believed that the monarch would have screamed for liberty on the 7th of September 1822. <\/em>The reason why the heart is so far from the body is a written request, from the emperor himself, left as his last will.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Still, this week the heart was invited to take part in the celebration of 200 years of Brazil\u2019s independence and flew its way to South America. The organ took a ride on the presidential Rolls-Royce, was escorted by the independence dragons, went up the ramp of the Brazilian Palace and even got itself a presentation of the Brazilian\u2019s air force air demonstration squadron as it was received with honors this Tuesday in Brasilia. Its little trip lasts until September 9th, when the heart is meant to get back to Portugal. <\/em><\/p>\n

Nessa semana, n\u00e3o apenas o Brasil comemora sua independ\u00eancia, como tamb\u00e9m a Ucr\u00e2nia, um pa\u00eds que n\u00e3o teve o mesmo direito de celebrar, e continua lutando ap\u00f3s 6 meses de guerra.\u200d<\/em><\/p>\n

August 24th will be a day to remember in Ukraine, as it marks its independence day, 6 months into war and the day the country was attacked by a Russian missile, which struck a railway station and killed 25 people<\/em><\/p>\n

The attack, which took place in an area about 74 miles east of the city of Dnipro in Ukraine-controlled territory, was one of the deadliest strikes on the country\u2019s railways since April, when more than 50 people were killed when a rocket slammed into a crowded railway platform in eastern Ukraine.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cRescuers are working,\u201d President Zelensky said during a remote address to the U.N. Security Council via video. \u201cBut, unfortunately, the number of dead may still increase.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

By Thursday morning, <\/em>officials said attacks in the area<\/em><\/a> had killed 25 people and injured 31. The strike on the station came as the nation braced for stepped-up attacks as Ukraine celebrated its Independence Day, and President Zelensky said it was a reminder of the vulnerability faced by people across his nation.<\/em>\u200d<\/p>\n

Which \u00e9 o que chamamos de pronome demonstrativo, ou seja, uma palavra pra se referir a uma coisa, ou animal, ou situa\u00e7\u00e3o j\u00e1 mencionada anteriormente. Essa palavra vem como a melhor alternativa \u00e0quele \u201cthat\u201d que a gente usa tanto. Ent\u00e3o por exemplo:<\/p>\n

Eu poderia usar o that <\/em>nessa frase, mas em situa\u00e7\u00f5es mais formais, ou mesmo pra enriquecer a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, o WHICH<\/em> pode soar bem melhor!<\/p>\n

A internet \u00e9 um lugar muito legal, por aqui se pode aprender, se divertir, se conectar com quem t\u00e1 longe da gente, se manter informado. Mas, a gente sabe que por aqui, nem tudo s\u00e3o flores, e da mesma forma que a internet pode fazer bem, ela tamb\u00e9m abre espa\u00e7o para quem queria fazer mal. Mas da uma olhada no que aconteceu essa semana:<\/p>\n

\u200dAfter a series of clips of hate speech, misogyny and homophobia that went viral, the influencer Andrew Tate was finally banned from social media. Andrew Tate is a 35-year-old former kickboxer, ex-reality show contestant, and current podcaster, whose inflammatory comments against women, whom he compares to property, have become viral on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube over the last several years. <\/em>Even high school and middle school <\/em>teachers say<\/em><\/a> he has completely derailed their classes and is responsible for an uptick in sexual harassment.<\/em>\u200d<\/p>\n

\u200dAfter insinuating in a video that he would have had sexually assaulted and hit a woman before, the police started and investigation. Soon afterwards, he moved from the UK to Romania, claiming in a since-deleted YouTube video that this was because the police are less likely to investigate sexual assaults there. He has been removed from Facebook and Instagram for violating Meta\u2019s policies following online calls from activists for him to be deplatformed.<\/em>\u200d<\/p>\n

\u200dIn accordance with Facebook\u2019s policy on \u201cdangerous individuals,\u201d Tate could be considered to fall under the <\/em>Tier 3<\/em><\/a> category. Tiktok has also banned him and most recently, youtube. His investigations are still ongoing<\/em><\/p>\n

\u200d<\/em>Parece que a internet n\u00e3o \u00e9 mais t\u00e3\u00e3o terra de ningu\u00e9m assim. As regras est\u00e3o come\u00e7ando a ser cumpridas\u2026<\/p>\n

Outra palavra que apareceu nessa frase e n\u00e3o \u00e9 um verbo\u00a0 muito comum, \u00e9 \u201cderail\u201d<\/strong>, em \u201che has completely derailed their classes\u201d. Rail <\/strong>significa trilhos, e \u201cderail\u201d seria tirar dos trilhos, ou num sentido aproximado do portugu\u00eas, descarrilhar.<\/p>\n
