Vamos a los ejemplos:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Are<\/em><\/strong><em> you hungry?<\/em><br \/>\n\u00bfTienes hambre?<\/p>\n<p><em>I <\/em><strong><em>am<\/em><\/strong><em> thirsty.<\/em><br \/>\nTengo sed.<\/p>\n<p><em>We <\/em><strong><em>are<\/em><\/strong><em> sleepy.<\/em><br \/>\nTenemos sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Be<\/em><\/strong><em> careful!<\/em><br \/>\n\u00a1Tengan cuidado!<\/p>\n<p>Al utilizar estas expresiones, en realidad lo que estamos diciendo en ingl\u00e9s es:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Are<\/em><\/strong><em> you hungry?<\/em><br \/>\n\u00bfEst\u00e1s hambrienta?<\/p>\n<p><em>I <\/em><strong><em>am<\/em><\/strong><em> thirsty.<\/em><br \/>\nEstoy sediento.<\/p>\n<p><em>We <\/em><strong><em>are<\/em><\/strong><em> sleepy.<\/em><br \/>\nEstamos somnolientos.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Be<\/em><\/strong><em> careful!<\/em><br \/>\n\u00a1Sean cuidadosas!<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, la diferencia est\u00e1 en que estamos usando un adjetivo y no un sustantivo.<\/p>\n<p>Otras palabras con las que esto sucede son:<\/p>\n<p><em>To be cold\/hot.<\/em><br \/>\nTener fr\u00edo\/calor.<\/p>\n<p><em>To be lucky.<\/em><br \/>\nTener suerte.<\/p>\n<p><em>To be of a certain age.<\/em><br \/>\nTener cierta edad.<\/p>\n<p><em>To be in a hurry.<\/em><br \/>\nTener prisa.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque con algunas expresiones sea m\u00e1s com\u00fan usar el verbo \u201ctener\u201d en espa\u00f1ol, en ingl\u00e9s necesitamos el verbo <em>\u201cto be\u201d <\/em>(ser\/estar), porque de otra manera estos verbos no tienen sentido.<\/p>\n<p>Si te gust\u00f3 el video de hoy, no olvides que tenemos un mont\u00f3n de contenido disponible para ti, \u00a1as\u00ed que rev\u00edsalo y compartelo con tus amigos!
